Case Study two - Sky HD
Original Brief: "to develop a 'non musical' piece made up of sound that is not from this planet." This brief was a great brief as it was not too prescriptive and allowed the audio creative to open up and inform the images.
From original brief we suggested that Sky listen to one of our research & development pieces using Granular Synthesis. That hit the mark so we embarked on developing a piece along similar lines.

The client was happy. As the CGI animation developed so did the audio.
Second brief: 'more organic sound to match the more organic visuals'
Tanuki 8 Idea: 21st Century religion using mellotron choirs and pure tones with a core theme — reversed and filtered — this formed the core of all of the Sky HD campaign.
